- I've golfed here several times and always found ways to make the course more challenging. It is well maintained and a fun 9-hole course. It's my go to course as it is close to where I live.I golf quite a bit at City Park. The staff has always been friendly, and the course is well maintained. It is a 9 hole course with a lot of trees that makes it a decent challenge. The driving range is mats only which is a bummer, but other than that I love playing there.This was the worst experience in my life. Yes, I have never actually played golf before, but when or how will I learn if I cannot practice. I felt racially discriminated against because my partner and I do not identify as old White men. Park did not let us play through, the marshal was following us the entire time, was completely rude and eventually we had to ask for a refund. Do not go here ever. I guarantee if two White men were struggling and went to this park they would have been treated with courtesy and patience. Ugh.Surprisingly challenging! Greens were in good shape and tons of trees. Very satisfying less then 2 hour round of 9 holes.
