I played today in a foursome. We are all mid or high handicappers. The course is in great shape, better than I have seen it in several years. The clubhouse staff is rude and impatient. Several is my group found this to be true. One girl in particular. The course marshall is also unprofessional. Our group was running ahead of a threesome, a twosome, and a single and going to be just over two hours for nine holes, and were told that because the groups behind us were playing eighteen, where we were going for eleven, that we were holding other groups up and to speed ourselves up. I guess that smaller groups playing for more holes makes them more important, at least to the marshall. Ruined a good day for us. We wont go back for this sort of treatment, no matter what shape the course is in. Too many other choices.

Need to come and see how you can do on this course. I've played all the courses around and this is the best. Plus I live here.

This is a fun short course that is very challanging, especially near the greens. Some holes an eagle or triple bogey are possible. The desciption of the course is a little misleading. I have not played the course in a year or so. The description calls out lush forest and from what I remember is there is only a few holes that trees actually come into play. The greens are small and during the summer months especially can be at US Open speed. You can be putting for birdie and easily 3-4 putt if you are not careful. On one or two greens during these months it can be too fast as on occasion you can putt uphill, miss the hole and the ball rolls back to where it started or worse. This is a great beginner course or a company tourament course. Drink a beer or two and go for eagle/birdie but if you miss the small greens expect a bogey or worse.

"... closest golfer was 2 wholes behind us" ... Really .. ?? I've been playing this course for years and the marshals have never been rude. Top notch course with top notch staff.

I have been playing madd russian for four weeks now and I cant Compaire It to anyother course I have played The entire course is challanging but yet fun to play the green's are amazing just because now matter how many times you play the course your putting will be challenged no matter how close you are to the hole it is Amazing.

I have played at Mad Russian at least a dozen times. I have found it to be refreshing convenient and friendly. The course is always in very Good condition, greens are very challenging while fairways offer a challenge that helps pace of play to continue smoothly. Pricing has been more affordable in todays market were most courses are over priced. I hesitate to highly recommend Mad Russian afraid I might spoil a wonderful course. I will continue to support a refreshing and wonderful course.

Was excited to start the round, but that excitement was soon overshadowed by the golf marshal. Two holes into the round my son, wife who are beginner golfers and myself were approached and lectured by the marshal regarding our pace of play. It was a Sunday late afternoon on a holiday and there were not many golfers there. We were in no way slowing down the round for anyone as the closest golfer was 2 wholes behind us. Later on the 7th hole, the marshal was rude and unprofessional enough to drive up right behind me as I was getting ready to take a second shot and again with no one behind us or waiting we were lectured about pace of play. I submitted a complaint to management and they assure me they are beginner and kid friendly, however the actions of their staff and based on other comments on golf sites seem to disagree completely with that. Beautiful course, good value, but due to the lack of respect for the golfers, and future golfers I will never go here again nor recommend it to any of my fellow golfers.
