Sunset Golf Course opened in 1922, making one of the first nine-hole courses in Colorado. Located in historic old Longmont, it is one of the most scenic courses in the state. Throughout your round you will enjoy panoramic views that stretch all the way to Longs Peak, beginning with the very first hole. The layout has a traditional design with narrow fairways and small greens that are occasionally accompanied by a well placed bunker. Mature cottonwoods line the fairways and frame every hole. You'll need to use a 3-wood or have pinpoint accuracy off the tees thanks to the dominating presence of the trees. Though it is only nine holes, it would be a mistake to underestimate Sunset Golf Course. Your course management and strategic thinking skills will be put to the test.

Grew up playing this course. 5 stars for the best and one of the most challenging nine hole course in Colorado. Lived in the big white house on the number 3 tee box. So appreciate the course and the swimming pool next door.
Wonderful memories of playing on the 1971 - 1973 Longmont High School golf team as well.
All the best to y’all who play this wonderful course. I learned to fill out the score card first….. then enjoy the beautiful course.

Not to long, but if you get off of the fairways with your drive, your second shot will be difficult on most holes. Nice people run the course and play there. Good for us older folks. Best nine hole course in the region.
