Formerly known as Headwaters Golf Club, Golf Granby Ranch is still the same classic mountain layout that has consistently ranked as one of the top public golf courses in Colorado since first opening as a nine-hole course in 2001. The golf course has an unrivaled setting in the heart of the Rockies. The mountainous terrain allows for not only memorable views but it also gives each hole a different character. Since opening it has since expanded into a full 18-hole course with a renovation by Nicklaus Design. Golf Granby Ranch's challenging design boasts natural lakes and ponds as well as strategically placed bunkers in a variety of shapes and sizes. The traps you'll find in the middle of the fairway are a Nicklaus signature. The golf course can be formidable but with six sets of tees, players of any skill level can play to their abilities.

Doesn't look like it from the road, but this is a really well-maintained links-style course. Reminds me of some o the courses in NV (like Paiute), or Taos NM.

Such a pleasant surprise. Course is kinda longish, actually.

Staff was super friendly.

Facility doesn't seem very high-end at all. Not fancy clubhouse or anything like that.

Still, the course was a treat! Would definitely recommend.

This is the perfect mountain golf course. I l enjoy playing it because you are not surrounded by houses. It is quiet and the views are amazing.

What a suppressing pleasure playing this course. I generally do not enjoy the mountain courses, but this course is a links style layout. The conditions were good, with the greens a bit slow. The front nine is nice, but the back nine is magnificent. The views speak for themselves.. I will give this a 4 star rating
