- Course is great and convenient great views and have paired up with some good guys while playing there. One glaring demerit is the head pro is a complete @ss. Never met a pro with such an attitude anywhere whether a private club or muni course. Rough around the edges those you can tell stressing out when busy and dealing with tournaments yes. However this guy has been a consistent jerk when behind the counter for the past 8 years I’ve come in contact with him. Don’t enjoy your work move on. Text book passive aggressive.The course is fun to play. It is obvious that they tried to extend the length on the back 9 and made a couple of strange tee boxes but they do not distract from the overall quality of the course. Great shape. People very courteous.Southridge is a better-than-average and easier-than-average muni that is always in good condition.
I am surprised you posted the review by HummeratW who is obviously a troll. I have played a lot of golf at Southridge in the past ten years, and I have never heard of anybody being "yelled at" in the clubhouse, especially for a short skirt! The club pro, Dave McCleave, is a mild-mannered gentleman who was the first All-American golfer ever at the U of Wyoming. This post is an insult to Dave and his staff. Maybe you are trying to show that you don't just post positive reviews, but in my opinion, posting a comment like this just means your site is very low class.
I play in a large group of senior golfers who play at about 15 different courses in Northern Colorado, and Southridge is the favorite course for a majority of them. All things considered, a 4 star rating is warranted.Really! What a dump. Not good and in poor shape. My wife got yelled at in the golf shop about her skirt being too short. What the heck, she's 66 years old. Never going back!!
