While the Dunes Golf Course is the headliner, don't sleep on the Knolls Golf Course at Riverdale Golf Club. If you're looking for a traditional course at a good price, the Knolls Golf Course is a very good option. While it may not be hard on your wallet, the traditional park-style layout can be hard on your score if you're not careful. Course management is key, especially on the front nine. The back nine has a little bit more of the grip-it-and-rip-it mentality. Overall, the Henry B. Hughes design, which opened in 1962, is pretty open with good greens and should make for a fun round.

A 1950'60's design which is a good value considering the cost of golf around Denver. The sistering course, the Dunes, is a better track and worth spending the extra money to play. Keep in mind if you're traveling near Denver this course is sort of off the beaten track. If you live in the southern suburbs of Denver as I do this is out of the way and the Knolls course wouldn't bring me back but the Dunes course will. Most of the par 3's played near 200 yards from the tips. The 9th hole had water draining damage so it played as a 120 yard par 3 instead of a par 4. The back nine had a little more design but still a back and forth layout with relatively straight holes. Not a lot of elevation change but a few holes played downhill. Overall the condition was fair, the price was good, proximity for us was off the beaten track but not bad for northern Denverites. Check out the Colorado Golf HOF in the clubhouse, and while the food was better than most it almost 60min to get a burger and chicken sandwich. Food prices where also slightly higher then expected but the taste was worth the price.

Harder then it looks at first, great place to play and at a very reasonable price.

the greens are in good shape for all the traffic this challenging course gets. tough course if you can't keep it in the fairway. Greater bargan than most courses in the area. The food is always great and reasonable. Play from the appropriate tees and you are going to have a great time. Nice staff also.
