As is typical of golf courses in Colorado Springs and Pueblo, Walking Stick was open before noon today (Feb 11, 2018) in spite of an area snowfall two days ago. We were very appreciative of the warm and friendly treatment we got from the head professional, Dave Lewis. He couldn't have been nicer or more pleasant. He let us hit balls on the range even though the course itself was not yet open. And he allowed us to tee off about 11:30, even earlier than he'd thought he could.

Conditions of the course were just fine. We had no snow problem anywhere. The greens were in the best condition of any course I've seen and played in the winter time. The fairways were brown but "lush" (my word) and the greens were rolling as true as you could hope. We had a wonderful time.

In spite of all these good things, though, the main reason I will be anxious to go back will be because of the wonderful attitude of the pro. There's a man who knows how to take care of customers!

This course is the best course I have ever seen. From the great hills, to the drop offs in the cliffs. I only got stung by 2 bees, but they didn't hurt that bad. Spider webs hit you in the face everytime in the cart as well, but they taste wonderful. A definite 5/5 for me.

This is a great golf course in design and condition. The greens are typically some of the best conditioned in the state of Colorado and are cut tight and are thus fast but true. I've found the staff over the years to be very consumer friendly as well. This one's a diamond in the rough (no pun intended).

The course went through a major renovation of irrigation systems. Today (summer of 2014) there is no sign of that construction and condition of course was worth the wait.

This is one of the best layouts around - if you think its not a great course, you have not played it from the tips and in season (this is a golf course in Colorado)

Worst condition of any course I ever played, any time of year. At least 2/3rds of this course are ground under repair. Find the fairway and be rewarded with bare, muddy or rocky lies. Combined with aerated greens and this was my worst golf experience ever. Don't waste your money.

Very poor condition even for early spring 2013. Not a lot of variety in hole layout or shot play; overall below-avg public course.
