Dear Merry below: I'm balancing out your BS review with a perfect one. Don't review a golf course you didn't play. Period. They decided to enforce their rules which you weren't able to abide by. Tough break, but no excuse to rate them poorly because you couldn't follow the rules and were called out for it.

First, let me say that my experience here was not as a golfer. Two Sundays ago, my family and I were hiking on a trail across the road and stopped here because my little sister needed to use the restroom. She asked me to go with her to ask for directions and so we went inside the building. There was a sign on the door that said masks were required inside the building. Because we were hiking, we didn't have masks but we covered our faces with our shirts and went inside. All we needed was the answer to one simple question: where is the bathroom? There was a lady at the desk who very kindly started answering our question when another woman stepped up and interrupted her. I don't know who she was, her name, or her position at the golf course but I must say I have never been treated so rudely in my life. She immediately began berating us for not wearing a mask and interrupted us when we tried to explain that we were on a hike and only needed a restroom. She refused to let us finish a sentence. I found her concern very interesting because plenty of (I'm sure) paying customers were outside, standing around and talking, not social distancing OR wearing a mask. She continued to tell us that we should know better, that "this is a public health thing now", and essentially told us to get out. As we were leaving and still in earshot, she said that she
was "sick of these people". She greatly upset my sister and sent my family on a wild goose chase searching for a bathroom. I understand fear of a new thing. However, that never excuses bad behavior. I can't help but think that if we were paying customers the treatment would have been much better. I have never been so angry. This is a public business and I expect basic human decency from everyone working here. I don't care how afraid you are or how justified you think yourself to be. That does not pardon your behavior. I will never recommend this course to any golfers I know.

First time here. Very fun course, short but more than an executive course. Played on Sunday 11:30 to 3:30. Pace of play was good. Holes are nicely varied with some trees to offer accuracy challenge. No real water hazards, some greens quite guarded by sand. Bunkers are very coarse grained, tho. Course was in great shape for a round in mid-July. Greens not tricky, but putts will break away from the mountain toward the lake. Staff was professional and courteous. Patio food service was popular, and our waitress was attentive. Worth going. Score card could benefit from a couse map.

Awesome day... The course was challenging, but so much fun. Scenery was magnificent. Blind shots were forced one to be accurate, club selection important.. Totally worth it. Great day.
Found the employees very friendly. Food very good.
Had a blast at the bar, met a local fella ,had great stories to tell.

Listen there is no whining in golf, if you did not enjoy your day here, ever think maybe it's you.
I know I play like a girl, try to keep up.

This will be my first time playing here. This course may have been beautiful at one point however, unfortunately because of the floods their golf course is not in great shape when it comes to all the blind spots and marking. Not to mention, I had to go to the bathroom in the bathroom was locked. For the fact that you had to play the same nine which is all over the course isn't as bad as it sounds. However, they shouldn't be charging full price for the condition not to mention that the aeration was done which put the rest of the experience in a negative. IM a fun, serious golfer and always in trying to better my game. When you're looking up that Hill and uncertain as to which way the pin is... Doesn't give you an all-around good experience.

This was a great place to play until the Denver took it over, now it is a disaster. It was in great condition and a fun place to go. The golf pro shop personnel was so helpful, but now it's like visiting any other governmental office-what a shame the former management is gone. The restaurant is good but way too expensive. The people that ran it before gave us terrific food at a fair price. Just one more government mess.

Mr. Smythe, did you give any consideration to the fact that the course experienced major flooding about a week before you submitted your snide comment?

This was a great place to visit under the previous management, since then under the current management by the City of Denver, it is simply one more government run disaster.

Course isn't in it's best shape right now mostly due to the greens being re sodded but always a fun course in its mountainous terrain. Just flat out fun slopes and blind shots. CLUB SELECTION IS KEY!

Course is in horrible shape. Broken irrigation system has kept the staff from watering. Bunker edging has taken priority over improving the turf. No bathrooms in the far reaches of the course; why is the snack bar house/bathroom not opened? No drinking water on the course. When I played a couple of weeks ago, no tee markers or sand rakes. Could be a good course if the City of Denver sold it to a buyer that knows what they are doing.

    Great Course, Great Location.

Tough to play since most holes you play blind.....BUT it's a fun time. Great Service, and for the price, great mountain course.

Just went there for the first time Saturday, I would go again tomorrow if I could.

We had great time at the course. Everyone very helpful, friendly. Intended to walk front nine, but pro suggested cart. Glad we took his advice. Afterwards had a great lunch and drinks on the patio. Good times!

Great executive mountain course. Lot of "placement" shots due to rolling terrain, but walkable because of short yardage. Very unique Par 3 over large boulder/rock outcropping--look for arrow up on the rock as to the correct direction, and trust your club selection distance. Great in the fall to see Elk. Deer around all the time. This course is a nice break from the ever prevalent "link" style courses which seem abundant, and boring, these days. Have FUN!
