Deer Creek Golf Club has a links-style layout that wanders through rolling hills covered with more than 40 acres of natural wetlands. The landscape was beautifully maintained and provides many natural challenges. The golf course features elevated greens guarded by numerous bunkers and there is also the occasional island green. Although eight of the holes run alongside C-470, well placed mounding prevents highway traffic from disturbing the round. There are many risk-reward opportunities on the golf course, but it demands accuracy and strategic play. Golfers are quickly introduced to Deer Creek Golf Club's challenges with the demanding third hole. This par 4 is a dogleg right with a forced carry beyond a pond and wetlands to the right.

Practice facilities - poor condition. Net to protect houses was damaged. Practice balls were really old.

Course - lots of unrepaired divots. Greens were terrible condition. Looks like a mower damaged #2. Oil leaks from mower on several greens. Many bunkers had little to no sand whatsoever.

Carts - old and outdated. Nothing modern about them at all. No sand or seed in the repair bottles. No score cards. Xerox copies of some previous scorecard was offered.

Clubhouse - OK food. Very limited selections in pro shop.

A fun layout. Slicers are in trouble on this course as most troubles lies to the right.
