This nine hole course in southeast Colorado, is set on a creek that runs throughout the course setting up five water holes to play. The rough is rough! The course in incredibly well maintained by the grounds crew-at least every time that I have played, it has been superb. There are tees from blue to reds, so plenty of ways to play the course. The fairways are not terribly wide, so your shots need to be good. The greens are not large, so your shots to the green need to be right on to stay on. There are good challenges on the greens with many angles to play across, and slopes to weigh up. Overall, this is the best nine hole in Colorado that I have played. The club house is well staffed and the food and drinks are pretty decent. The staff are friendly whether volunteers or the manager Terry. They have around ten carts to rent and the game is reasonably priced.

You really have to play the course to appreciate this 9 hole jewel. Walk on, no tee times, reasonably priced, water in play, good challenge to the game of golf, surrounded by birds and deer. What a great way to enjoy the game. Course is very well maintained and certainly a community atmosphere. Good job Southeast Colorado!

Best 9 hole course you'll play. Challenging, not crowded, beautiful views, deer, birds, water hazards, drop offs, unforgiving hazards, playable 12 months most years. You'll love it!!!

I grew up playing this course and we used to always joke about it being only 9 holes and all that. As I've moved away and played other courses all over the country, I've grown more and more impressed with that 9 hole oasis on the Colorado plains. It's a tremendous course for the area in which you find it! Surrounded by desert-like conditions, it is extremely well-maintained. Quality fairways lead to challenging but smooth greens. The creek that runs through the course comes into play directly on 6 of the 9 holes and is coupled with a well-designed layout and elevation changes that allow you to hit every club in the bag. A few holes are driveable, which adds some excitement, and others force you to take out different clubs on the tee based on the hole's shape.
All in all, I love my old home course! If you are ever in Southeast Colorado, this is really the only course worth playing, and I highly suggest it!
