Like most public courses in the Springs, it's a goat ranch. Had to play lift, clean and place because there is pretty much no grass on the fairways. Greens were ok though.

Worst golf experience we've had all summer. There are no fairways. They lost a lot of grass over the winter, but it's mid-Aug. and it's still showing little recovery. They planted plugs, but it looks just as bad as a bad hair transplant. Little green plugs in the midst of brown fairway. To make matters worse, they aerated and left big ATV tread marks in several spots. The greens are quite good, but the rest of the course is terrible.

Service matched the course - poor! They charged $17 for 9holes/no cart. The web-site says the rates are $15 and they charged the guy in front of us $11. Counter help was rude when I questioned the charges.

If you are golfing in Colorado Springs, there are several public courses that are much better. Too bad... this course could be a gem (in fact it used to be just that). The nice Phelps design is wasted on poor turf managers and rude employees.
