Situated along the banks of the Crystal River at the base of Mt. Sopris, River Valley River Valley Ranch Golf Club has a diverse terrain of wetlands and rolling hills. Sagebrush, cottonwoods, and pinion pines further enhance the course's beautiful landscape. The golf course features large greens and numerous elevation changes. Interesting bunkers and water hazards come into play throughout as well. The River Valley Ranch design takes full advantage of the picturesque mountain backdrop, offering spectacular views from many points on the golf course. It opens with a scenic but tricky par 4 that requires a tee shot over the river. River Valley Ranch Golf Club also features a practice area with putting and chipping greens along with a driving range.

- This is my 5th (round this season) and last round at RVR golf course. The course management is horrible! We were bumped from our scheduled tee time (again) because a foursome was late. Then on the 3rd hole a twosome who was also late , pulled in front of us and squeezed in between us stating that they were late and catching up with the foursome who bumped us off of our scheduled tee time. Took us 2 and a half hours to play 9 holes and nobody seems to care about tee times or course etiquette. Red Cunningham and his staff should rethink their operation. I live here at River Valley Ranch and will not recommend or be returning to play here. While the course is in decent shape , operationally it lacks greatly. The course gets a thumbs down rating.Delightful and picturesque course that is challenging without gimmicks but fun to playGreat course!! Well maintained.great course. Kept in fantastic shape. Was staying in snowmass but well worth the 45 minute drive. Could do a better job of distinguishing pin positions so as to eliminate putting from different zip code on the enormous greens. Friendly staff and great value at twilight!
